| As always, the Voices
of the Electorate (V.O.T.E.) executive committee has been
busy. As mandated by our members, we have formed into a new
sub-committee structure and thank the volunteers who are putting such
wonderful energy toward the betterment of their community. We have two
exciting events coming up this month that we know you won’t want to
miss! Last Chance to get an Acorn: This
Saturday!
In co-operation with Diane’s Garden Centre, we will be holding our
final acorn sale this Saturday, May 12th from 8 am
to 5 pm at Diane’s Garden Centre on County Road 124 at the south
end of town. As you know, these acorns were donated to V.O.T.E. by
College Valley Estate (www.college-valley.co.uk)
and Castle Morpeth Borough Council (www.castlemorpeth.gov.uk)
in the UK and they come from trees planted by Admiral Collingwood
himself some 200 years ago! The planter kits includes a 2 gallon pot,
premium soil mix, two (2) acorns, instructions and a certificate of
authentication for only $25.00. Plant them now in celebration of the
Town of Collingwood’s 150th Anniversary next year!

Collingwood. In our continued efforts to bring quality speakers to
Collingwood on topics of interest to the local community, we are pleased

assistance that are allowing us to bring this presentation to you in
association with our local Member of Parliament and Federal Secretary of
State for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Helena Guergis as
well as our private sector sponsors , Eden Oak (www.edenoak.com)
