The Rate Payer's of Collingwood finally held their much anticipated Fireworks display August 4th 2001. Launched from the site of the former Canada Steamship Lines, the display was originally scheduled to be a part of the town's Canada Day Celebration. The display was cancelled that evening due to winds in excess of 40 Kmh. From all accounts, it was worth the wait.
