| Jaguar
Triple Crown leaps into second season |
| TORONTO, May
31 /CNW/ - The second season for the Jaguar Triple Crown series of horse
shows will kick off next month in Bromont, Quebec, where the excitement
will mount about who will ride home in a new Jaguar at the end of the
series. |
| The
three shows, which will take place in Bromont, Quebec, Nepean, Ontario
and Collingwood, Ontario respectively, include an accumulative point
system, which will determine the winner of the grand prize, the new Jaguar
X-TYPE sport sedan for a year to be presented at the Collingwood Festival. |
"We were
thrilled when last year's winner, Amy Millar, drove away in a Jaguar
S-TYPE," said Russell Reynolds, president of Jaguar Canada.
"This year,
the winner will get the keys to our all-new, all-wheel drive Jaguar
X-TYPE. We think sporty functionality mixed with the refinement of this
car is a perfect fit for the horse events." |
The Jaguar
Triple Crown Series proved to be a tremendous success as the series hosted
800 horses with an average of 4 people per horse and 3,200
equestrians. The Jaguar Triple Crown series received approximately 25,000
spectators to the grounds in 2000 and hopes to repeat its success this
summer. |
| "We were
very pleased with the success of the first year of the Jaguar Triple Crown
Series," said Jay Hayes, co-chair of the Collingwood Festival.
"Jaguar's involvement has helped raise the profile of our shows and
has added more excitement for the riders who are trying to win a
Jaguar." |

June 20 - 24, 2001 |
