Collingwood Now reacts to Mayor Geddes
As you said... "The feedback on the idea from Geddes — who was taken aback when he started receiving calls about Wilson’s comments — is an absolute no." The Enterprise-Bulletin, Friday, 28 February 2003.
Terry...you were not elected on this issue...you have no right, and absolutely no mandate to categorically deny the possibility of a casino on the former CSL lands. Somehow, someway, someone is going to have to justify the additional commercial and residential impact proposed on these lands. Why not explore the potential?
For once, consider the bigger picture without pandering to 'your' peer group, and think of the beneficial aspects of a 'high-end, limited scale casino,' aka Monaco for the future? Think of the jobs, think of the investment, think about Intrawest...think about it!. It shouldn't be a large a stretch for a council fixated upon the ideals of Aspen and Vail, don't you think?

Do You Think Collingwood Should at least consider a Casino?
