"Pacesetter"

The McGuinty government has allocated $5 million to reward balanced hospitals. Deemed as efficient "pacesetter' hospitals who are having their good work recognized and rewarded. The funding is meant to support further operational changes towards improved efficiency. Collingwood's General & Marine Hospital is included in the list of efficient "pacesetter' hospitals in the 'McGuinty Government Invests in Transition Strategy for Ontario Hospitals' report released January 18th by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
Collingwood G&M was allocated $63,400. Also included in the category is Newmarket's Southlake Regional Healthcare Centre with $169,700 allocated.
