The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) is a
new U.S. law requiring all travelers, including Canadians, to carry a
passport or other appropriate secure documentation when traveling to the
United States.
To assist with passport applications and passport
renewals
Hon. Helena Guergis is sponsoring the following
passport clinics:
Please bring your completed passport application
with proper documentation, passport photos, and previous passport.
Payment can be made by completing the credit card information on the
application or with money order or certified cheque payable to Receiver
General for Canada. CASH is NOT ACCEPTED.

EXAMINERS WILL BE ON SITE
PLEASE NOTE:
DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING SUCCESS OF THE PASSPORT CLINICS - CLIENTS WILL
BE TAKEN ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS.
Maximum 450 people can be served per day.

Children's Applications - If the parents were
not married at the time the child was born, a long form birth certificate
is required.
If the parents are divorced or separated all documents
that refer to custody or mobility of, or access to, the child must be
submitted.
New Guarantor and Simplified Applications do NOT
apply to children.
Simplified Passport Renewal program requires
the following:

Previous passport was issued after
January 31, 2002 and was valid for five (5) years.
·
Must have been issued under current
name
·
Is not damaged and was never reported
as lost or stolen
·
Was issued in Canada
·
Applicant was 16 and over when they
applied for their last passport
·
Applicant must be residing in Canada at
time of application
·
Applicant must have resided in Canada at
the time of their previous application
New Guarantor Policy
The new guarantor policy applies to NEW application
forms only. Form # PPTC 153
Only the applicant or immediate family can submit a
passport application. Parents must have consent when submitting a
passport application for a dependent 16+ years or older
