Remembrance Day Parade
and Cenotaph Service
8 November 2007
Plan to attend Collingwood's Remembrance Day
ceremony, a well
attended, solemn occasion in recognition of the veterans and lost loved
ones of the Town of Collingwood and area.
Once again, the Town of Collingwood and Royal Canadian Legion, Collingwood
Branch 63 plans for Sunday include a parade to the cenotaph and full
cenotaph service.
This is a special year, in that 2007 marks the 90th
anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. Simcoe-Grey MPP Jim Wilson and
Helena Guergis MP, Collingwood Mayor Chris Carrier and members of
Collingwood's Town Council and staff plan to be in attendance, along with
veterans and local citizens.
Dress warm as the
long range forecast is calling for a chance of showers and a high of 8
degrees.
