During the election, they didn’t pass inspection Mailers everywhere! Mailers everywhere! In money you did wallow, A little hard to swallow, Now you’re where? Now you’re where? Could someone please explain why Collingwood Council should have to convene a meeting just to find out what Ms Guergis is doing on behalf of a constituent? Ms. Guergis was elected to serve. Why on earth can’t she, or at the very least a staffer, enlighten this person? Is this what $70,000.00 in campaign expenses buys us? Ms Guergis should be begging us for the opportunity to tell us what she has done on our behalf. It can’t be that she is too busy with her new portfolio as Minister of State, Status of Women. Her boss has already eliminated funding to women’s advocacy activities and closed Status of Women Canada’s Regional Offices. The Harper Conservatives have done nothing regarding the lack of childcare spaces and affordable housing. This in spite of the alarming conclusions in a report made by the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, November, 2007. Doesn’t leave much for Ms Guergis to do.
